Amnesty period seeks to clean up outstanding fines

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Klamath County Justice Court is offering a “clean slate” amnesty program aimed at helping clear outstanding traffic, animal, and code enforcement fines. Defendants who don’t pay fines are usually referred to Carter Jones Collection Services, and the amnesty period will allow for a 25 percent reduction of the amount owed to the collection agency. The program will run from April 1 through June 30.
