KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Changes abound for the Oregon Tech softball team. The defending national champions were the preseason No. 1 team, but now sit at No. 5 after the first regular season NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll of the season.

Cal State Marcos is now the number one team in the country. Cascade Conference-mates Corban moved up seven spots to No. 16, while the College of Idaho registers at No. 22, winning 12 of 13 games.

The other change involves venues, as weather prevents OIT from its home opener again. Instead, the Owls will host Corban at US Cellular Community Park in Medford Friday at 2:00 PM.

960 the Sports Legend will air Tuesday’s game against Southern Oregon in Ashland. Game time is 2:00 PM.

Owls Baseball Location Changed

Weather also affected Oregon Tech baseball’s schedule, moving Sunday’s doubleheader against La Sierra to Harry & David Field in Medford. The games start at noon. OIT will also play there on Tuesday against Willamette at 11:00 AM.
