Area attractions are good for the local economy

KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore – A recent nationwide study has been looking at the economic impact of national parks and attractions, and concluded Crater Lake National Park and Lava Beds National Monument contribute millions annually to the Klamath Basin economy. Crater Lake generated more than $34 million and kept 540 people working.The Lava Beds near Tulelake brought in $4.5 million for the economy and was responsible for 58 jobs, according to the Michigan State University study.
