KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon lawmakers have passed a bill that will let Klamath County use road dollars to fund its jail, sheriff’s patrols, and other agencies. This will allow Klamath County to keep the jail’s B pod open. Without this move, the B pod would have closed in June because of budget constraints. The bill’s passage will also likely keep the jail levy off the May ballot since there’s no longer a need. The board of commissioners will have until March 15th to remove the levy from the ballot.
