KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the bracket for the 21st Annual Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship Wednesday. The 32-team, single elimination format will take place from March 7 – 13 in Point Lookout, Mo., on the campus of College of the Ozarks.
The Oregon Tech Owls are the overall No. 2 seed, matching its final ranking in the Coaches Top 25 Poll. OIT will open play on Mar. 8 against Lourdes University from Ohio, which won its conference tournament and has won three of its last four games.
Lourdes is one of two teams making its first tournament appearance, joining OIT preseason opponent Cal Maritime. The Owls are in the field for the 14th time and one of only three two-time champions.
Northwest, Warner Pacific and Eastern Oregon also made the field from the Cascade Conference.
