KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Voters will have the power this May when it comes to tax levys. The Klamath Falls City Schools board voted this week to put a tax levy they say would keep teacher layoffs at bay and help the district buy books. Last year, 18 teachers were laid off when the budget was cut by nearly $4 million. The levy would add 50 cents per $1000 of assessed property if it’s approved.
