YREKA, Cal. – Authorities are offering a reward now in the Siskiyou County gold theft we told you about last week. Gold nuggets valued at over $1 million were swiped from a display case at the county courthouse in Yreka. The case contained an historical sampling of gold from nearly all the mines in the county. The sheriff’s office announced Friday a $15,000 reward will be offered in exchange for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those behind the crime.
