KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. – Some good news for an area lake. The health advisory at Gerber Reservoir near Klamath Falls has finally been lifted by state and local health officials. It had been in place since Aug. 23 because of elevated levels of toxin-producing blue-green algae. The cold weather and ice cover limits recreation activities, and that reduces the risk to public health, according to Oregon Public Health and the Klamath County Health Department.
