EUGENE, Ore. — With it being Civil War week for Oregon and Oregon State basketball (Men – Sunday at 3:00p – 960 the Sports Legend), we give you some Ducks and Beavers news and notes:

The Oregon lacrosse team is the second pick in the preseason Mountain Pacific Sports Federation coaches’ poll, released Tuesday. The season opens on the road Feb. 17 at Temple University.

Meanwhile, the Oregon softball team is predicted seventh in the preseason Pac-12 Coaches Poll, with its season opener Feb. 10.

Ducks women’s basketball senior Amanda Johnson is a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, which requires a student-athlete to be in his or her senior year and have achieved excellence in community, classroom, character and competition. The public can vote on the award online through Mar. 18, with the winner announced during the NCAA Women’s Final Four April 1 and 3 in Denver.

Oregon State wrestling is on the road for two duels this weekend, first at Boise State Friday and Stanford Sunday. The Beavers are 7-2 in duels this season.

OSU track & field is at the Husky Invitational this weekend in Seattle.
