KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Klamath County’s unemployment rate has improved. The rate in November was 12.4 percent, and December that dropped one-half of a percentage points to 11.9 percent. The Oregon Employment Department says the decrease came though as the county’s labor force shed 330 jobs between November and December, perhaps showing that job-seekers are getting discouraged and giving up. Lake County’s jobless rate was down 3-tenths of a percentage point between November and December. Lake county lost 30 jobs over that time.
