KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Fuels specialists from the Oregon Department of Forestry and Klamath Falls City Parks plan to ignite burn piles in Moore Park in the next couple of days. All of the piles are leftover from thinning projects designed to reduce hazardous fuels and restore forest health. Authorities say some smoke may linger, but the project will reduce hazardous fuels that can lead to summer wildfires.
