KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the inner workings of the Klamath Falls Police Department, now is your chance. The department is accepting applications for its seventh Citizen’s Academy, where you can interact with officers in a classroom setting. The classes one night per week for ten weeks. Applications will be taken up until the class begins Thursday, February 9th.
Applicants must be at least 18 years, or accompanied by an adult (Underage participants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.) Students must have no pending criminal cases and must authorize, and pass, a brief background investigation.
The Citizen’s Academy will begin on Thursday, February 9th, 2012, at 6 PM, and end on Thursday, April 19th, 2012. The successful applicant will be notified where the first class will meet.
Interested citizens may pick up an application at the Klamath Falls Police Department, 2501 Shasta Way.
