WALNUT CREEK, Calif – Oregon State’s Sean Mannion and Oregon’s De’Anthony Thomas were selected to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team Monday.
Finishing with a third-best school total of 3,328 yards, Mannion’s rookie performance is ninth on Oregon State’s all-time list.
As an all-purpose selection,Thomas now holds the Rose Bowl record for longest run and scoring play with his 91-yard touchdown run against Wisconsin. His 314 all-purpose yards in Oregon 45-38 win is the most in Oregon bowl history.
USC’s Marquise Lee and Dion Bailey plus Utah’s Eric Rowe were the other three Pac-12 selections to the team.
