KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — With the Portland Timbers visit to Klamath Falls set for Sunday as part of its “Dribble Oregon” tour, Timbers Chief Operating Officer Mike Golub joined Goofing Around at Lunch to preview Oregon’s Major League Soccer team’s visit:

Community Event: Friends of the Children of the Klamath Basin

Time: 10-11 a.m.

Location: Friends of the Children Clubhouse, 3837 Altamont Drive, Klamath Falls

Event Details: Timbers players Eric Alexander and Freddie Braun, along with Timbers COO Mike Golub and JELD-WEN executive Bill Hueffner, will present Friends of the Children a $1,000 donation in a special presentation starting at 10 a.m. Alexander, Braun and Timber Joey will also participate in a Q&A and activities with Friends of the Children.


Youth Soccer Clinic: Mike’s Fieldhouse

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: Mike’s Fieldhouse, 4500 Foothills Blvd, Klamath Falls

Event Details: Led by the Timbers’ youth academy staff, the club will conduct two free youth soccer clinics for children ages 5-13 at Mike’s Fieldhouse. The first clinic will run from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, with the second clinic going from 12-1 p.m. Making a special appearance at the clinics are Timbers players Alexander and Braun, who along with Timber Joey will also sign autographs on site following the clinics from 1-2 p.m. To register for the clinic, contact Angela Durant at basinunited.angela@gmail.com or (541) 273-1152.


Pub Event: Meet-and-Greet at The Creamery Brewpub & Grill

Time: 3-5 p.m.

Location: The Creamery Brewpub & Grill, 1320 Main St., Klamath Falls

Event Details: Open to fans of all ages, the Timbers play host to a special meet-and-greet with Timbers players Alexander and Braun at The Creamery Brewpub & Grill. The two-hour pub event includes a Q&A and autograph session with both players and Timber Joey. Fans will also have the opportunity to enter to win autographed Timbers merchandise and prizes throughout the night.
