City Schools address older buildings

Klamath Falls, OR – The Klamath Falls City Schools board held a meeting last night to talk about proposals to address aging buildings. A planning committee has been trying to decide the next steps since last fall. Possible steps include closure of an elementary school to reduce maintenance costs, downsizing Klamath Union High School, reconfiguring elementary school grade levels, and expanding Ponderosa Junior High School. No public comments were taken last night, but they will be accepted at the next regular board meeting, this Monday, January 9 at 6:30 p.m.
