Salem, OR – Beginning in less than two weeks, the price you pay for a Powerball ticket is going up to $2. Lottery organizers say the jackpots are getting bigger, and they hope more people will be enticed to play. Some say there has been confusion between Powerball and Mega Millions, which also covers several states and costs a dollar to play. With the $2 price tag for a ticket, Powerball will be in a league of it’s own. The $2 tickets start selling January 15. For now you can still play for a buck.
