Klamath Falls, OR – Facing more budget cuts, it’s possible that Klamath County will choose to close the juvenile detention center, and possibly eliminate deputy district attorneys and agricultural funding. Even with the cuts, the second pod at the Klamath County jail would not be able to stay open. That will close in June if a new source of revenue doesn’t appear. A budget committee meeting is scheduled for next week, and we’ll learn more about the proposed cuts then. 21 layoffs, and furlough days are possible.
